Terms & Conditions

Mishkan is a local-first community app for the Jewish community. It offers a feed scoped to your city or neighbourhood, direct messaging between members, a map of community businesses, and an optional paid Pro profile.

The Service is provided as-is; features may evolve, be added or be removed over time.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Mishkan, and at least 18 to subscribe to Mishkan Pro.

You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

Mishkan is built around respect for the community. You agree not to use the Service to:

post illegal content, hate speech, harassment, threats, incitement to violence, or content that targets any group based on religion, origin, gender, orientation or any protected characteristic;

impersonate another person or business, or misrepresent your affiliation;

send spam, scams, unsolicited advertising or repetitive automated messages;

infringe intellectual property or privacy rights of others;

attempt to break, scrape, reverse-engineer or overload the Service, or to bypass security or rate limits.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice depending on the severity.

You retain ownership of the content you publish on the Service. By publishing content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and distribute that content for the sole purpose of operating and improving the Service.

You are solely responsible for the content you publish and confirm that you have the rights to share it.

Mishkan Pro is an optional subscription that turns your account into a verified business listing.

Subscriptions are sold and managed through the Apple App Store. Pricing, billing cycles and renewals are governed by your App Store account; you can manage or cancel your subscription there.

Pro listings must reflect a real business and may be reviewed before activation. We may decline or revoke Pro status for listings that violate these Terms or community guidelines.

The Service, its name, logo, designs, code and content (excluding user content) are the property of 100-8 Studio or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify or redistribute them without our written permission.

The Service relies on third-party providers (hosting, analytics, payments through the App Store, map data). Their own terms and privacy policies apply when relevant.

You may delete your account at any time from within the App.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect users and the integrity of the Service.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties as to availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

Mishkan is a platform: we do not endorse user content or businesses listed on the map and are not a party to any transaction between users.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under French law.

We may update these Terms. The new version takes effect on the date shown above. For material changes, we will notify you in the App or by email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by French law.

Any dispute relating to the Service or to these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of France, subject to mandatory provisions of consumer protection law that may grant you the right to bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence.
